What do you love most about your career?

The opportunity to assist individuals living with disabilities and the aging population.  I am able to provide clients and their families with the  tools to continue living in the comfort of their home while remaining engaged in activities of interest to them.   I am able to work with a wide variety of clients as well as collaborate with professsionals and tradesman to advocate to the highest level for the benefit of the clients and their families.

How did you decide to start Purposefully Home?

Practicing in a variety of settings, working with adults through geriatrics 18 to 100+ I witnessed the challenges my patients and their families face when transitioning back to the community. The environmental barriers people faced due to inaccessible entryways, bathrooms and hallways. The limited caregiver support available, financial strain as well as physical and emotional challenges.

Where did you complete your education?

I  completed my Master of Science in Occupational Therapy at The Sage Colleges in Troy, New York.

After practicing for several years I decided to pursue a Doctorate in Health Science at Nova Southeastern University to expand my skills in program development and public health promotion.

My passion for accessibility and empowering people to live within the residential community I chose to enroll in University of Southern California and obtained an Executive Certificate in Home Modification.
